KISSed OFF!

A while back I bought two Rimmel Kiss Off! lip glosses for around $2 each. Flashback has a milky white base with iridescent peachy-golden shimmer. Fever is a peach with a peachy-golden shimmer. Good job Ox. Get the two that look almost identical on since lip glosses are notorious for having little color payoff except when it comes to sparkles. I should have just gotten Fever which has more pigmentation and the same pretty sparkle. I guess the low prices flustered me. They whisper, "Buuyy meee. No! No! No! Don't look. Just purchase." Because you know...they do that...
L to R: Flashback, Fever

Now onto the important stuff. When you swipe this on your lippies the first thing that hits you is the smell. Not going to lie, it smells like Barbie flowers. Plastic + floral = Blegh. The gloss itself isn't very sticky. I'd say it's like a four on a scale of oil to marshmallow fluff. The one thing that really bothers me about this gloss is the grittiness of the sparkle. I hate when you can feel glitter particles on your lips, and you can definitely feel them with these glosses. The staying power is pretty average. I feel like after a while the color of the gloss is gone, but the glitter stays behind Besides the grittiness and the bad smell these aren't too bad. I reach for Fever whenever I want to give my lips a punch of sparkle without too much color.

Summertimmeee and the Living's Easy..

Well hopefully not too easy. I would like the summer to be fulfilling with some easy on the side. Hopefully I will get that P.R. internship this summer, and maybe a job as well. But even with those two things I am hoping that this summer will be a lot less stressful and demanding as the school year. And less stress = more blogging hopefully. I hope everyone that was in school did well on their exams. And I hope the hot sand, pina coladas, dainty dresses, big hats, teal rimmed sunglasses, and Mexican BBQs are in your future because they are sure as hell in mine.

I Feel Shabby Chic..

Whenever I wear light pinks and peaches I think of English people and they color they call "blush." Before perusing beauty and fashion blogs from all over the world I had never heard that nudish pink color referred to blush. I kinda sorta love it. And I love the blogs of girls who wear this "blush" color on a regular basis because they seem to be charmingly feminine and cute. Many of them put their products on beautiful paper with roses and other equally charming and quaint little things. Whenever I see new posts from them I think of tea parties and fairy rings and The Secret Garden.

Shirt from Marshall's by Tramp (Ew?) $14.99

Toes Essie Jungle Bungle (This color is so hot it might burn you, for serious.)

An Affair to Remember.

I've had a crush on these shoes from H+M for a couple of months now, but I was never willing to fork over the $40. (I am a serious frugal mcdugal.) Then today I went to the mall to exchange a shirt I got for my mom, and I spotted them again winking at me, teasing me with their little stacked wedge. Perfect paired with a summer dress or skinnies, they called out to me from across the store. Then I saw the BIG RED $5 tag! I had to check at the register to see if it was true! Oh. It was true. They are a bit too small, (probably why nobody picked them up) but for $5 I'm willing to try a few of those "stretch your shoe" techniques on YouTube.

I love.

Can we just talk about how much I love this Overlay Discs Necklace? from TopShop?
It seriously makes my heart go pitter patter. Can't you imagine some chic little gypsy dancing by a giant bonfire wearing THIS necklace? Well I can. Obviously the gypsy is wearing a simple white or navy dress with some brown wedges or even gladiator sandals because a necklace like this makes quite a statement, even in gypsy circles. It's beautiful and sparkly, but at $120.00 it is out of the Ox College Student budget.

Forever21 has a somewhat similar style
(I use this term pretty loosely) available for a measly $6.80. It's just doesn't satisfy my gypsy bling quota, so the search continues.
